National Institutions
These are public and private sector agencies which could offer services to EAFRINET or may need EAFRINET support, i.e. providers and users of relevant biosystematic services. They constitute the national networks in participating countries.
They have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead, support, and facilitate the activities of EAFRINET.
  • Participate in activities and feedback systems, e.g. taxonomic needs, problems, solutions, achievements, technology, etc., of EAFRINET.
  • Contribute expertise, resources, information, etc. to EAFRINET through the NACI and NECI.
  • Assist the NACI in the implementation of decisions and recommendations of the LCC at national level.
  • Appoint and oversee the EAFRINET activities of the NACI.
