Working Groups

Working groups and task forces may be constituted to deal with specific problems in East African countries. These subsidiary bodies may be;-
  • Permanent, to address matters that need constant attention, e.g.training.
  • Temporary, to deal with specific problems or taxonomic emergencies.
  • The members of such bodies will consist of specialists nominated and appointed by the LCC.  The size may vary according to the work load.
  • The LCC will provide their terms of reference, and will evaluate their activities.
  • One member of each group will serve as a focal point to maintain contact within the group, with other working groups, and the NECI.
  • Each such group will provide a report on their activities, conclusions, and recommendations to the NECI for presentation and discussion by the LCC.
